The documentary tells the story of Wed Al-Asadi, who fled the civil war in Iraq and applied for asylum in Finland. Wed does his best to adjust to his new surroundings and even finds a job as a cook. But this doesn’t help his application, and his home country refuses to take him back – Wed has ended up in the endless loop called the asylum process.

“An gloomy chamber piece with a great protagonist. It is effectively and powerfully staged with economical means. Depressing interior views from the mill of European bureaucracy.”
