In May 2014, for the first time an ultra fan of AS Roma shoots at a fan of SSC Naples, who then died. In Germany the fan groups are becoming increasingly violent. In and around the stadium terraces there is an explosive mixture of passion, love of violence and right-wing ideology. In 2015, fighting hooligans were classified by the Federal Court as a criminal organization. The fan scene is colourful, partly right-wing and it is on the move. The feature investigates the causes of the spiralling violence and the future of the fan culture.
