Belgrade – one of the major epicentres of the European refugee crisis. Thousands of Afghans and Pakistanis (w/m) find protection in the Serbian capital. They do not want to enter any official asylum shelters out of fear that they could promptly be deported to one of the reception centres in the south. They prefer to live under miserable conditions in deserted halls behind the main railway station in the centre of Belgrade, unnoticed by locals and tourists. Their suffering continues – with temperatures below -25 degrees centigrade.
