The film tells the moving story of the under-aged refugee Nama from Mali. The boy is taken by the lonesome 75-year-old Willi to the house of his son Stefan. Willi is attempting, in his remaining lifetime, to give back what he has learned as a child: willingness to help from people who have taken him in following his flight. A question of guilt between Willi and his son prevents a peaceful coexistence. But Nama brings new life into the relationship which has become frozen as a result of speechlessness.
