The nameless dead of the Aegean. Never before have so many refugees lost their lives in Greece while trying to reach Europe than in the last five years. Where to put the nameless dead? The refugees have probably belonged to differing religious communities, each of which had different funeral rites. What chance do the members of the families have to learn about the death or about the grave of their relatives? A search for clues in Greece.
Excerpt from the jury’s statement
Dramatic, exciting, sensitive – a picture of helplessness. An outstanding feature of high radiophonic quality.
