From Carinthia all the way to the Burgenland: Wherever refugees arrive, they rarely appear to be welcome. In the past, many an Austrian community has resisted a re- fugee camp – in some cases successfully. But there are also people who campaign for the acceptance of asylum seekers and also sometimes succeed. First comes the agitation, once the asylum seekers are there, things calm down again. A tour through the federal states.
