Districts in Dortmund, Cologne and Duisburg change their character through immigration from South-Eastern Europe – Bulgaria, Romania or Moldova. Many of the old-established residents no longer feel comfortable in their neighbourhoods. They fear the rise of crime, prostitution, human trafficking. Some are afraid of the immigrants and of those who do business with them. This report accompanies the new poor immigrants and attempts to determine who earns money out of the poorest.
