Content
Two reporters spend four weeks in home for applicants for political asylum in Hesse – under the same conditions as the refugees. They experience disastrous hygienic conditions, lack of space, noise and sleep deprivation, with no way to avoid it. The report shows the conditions under which applicants for political asylum live and how the local residents react to them. Many homes for applicants for political asylum like this are located out of the way in industrial zones or woods, with no contact to the German population. Integration is not desired. The local inhabitants reject them.
Excerpt from the jury’s statement
Extremely depressing, ruthless, also against itself – a diary of unreasonableness.
