Stories from the allotments in Bümpliz in the canton of Berne. People of various cultures and religions work as allotment gardeners on 148 plots: Former refugees, guest workers, Swiss by marriage and locals. A multi-cultural garden colony, a microcosm of today’s Switzerland. The documentary shows people from 20 nations. They suffer, love and argue with each other – also about the rules of their power-conscious association chairman.
