Content
The Kpakou family is deported – after 13 years in Germany. At the beginning of the nineties they had fled from Africa to escape a brutal dictatorship. The children grow up in Cölbe near Marburg – a small village with typical half-timbered houses. In 2006, the mother and her children must return. The film tells the story of the teenagers and their friends in Germany. The children want to go back home – to Hesse. They live in a country that is foreign to them, whose language they hardly speak, under most difficult circumstances.
