Ahmed fled to Germany from Iraq together with his parents and six siblings, desperate to escape Saddam Hussein’s repression. Ahmed relates the tale of their dangerous flight during which the family had to endure 45 days in a Greek prison. Following the death of the Iraqi dictator, the parents are now keen to return. Yet Ahmed wants to remain.
