The deportation of applicants for political asylum and refugees is not a pleasant job. The staff of the Aliens Department are responsible for it. Their decisions have far-reaching effects, often dramatically affecting people’s lives. Which criteria they use to decide and how they handle the people is shown in the report on the deporters and the deported.
